KCC Unicorn Contest Is Coming Soon
To further promote the KCC ecosystem and help grow the blockchain ecosystem, KCC will host a Unicorn Contest on March 15, 2022, to explore and support elite projects on KCC.
In the Unicorn Contest, KCC will evaluate projects based on Total Value Locked, Daily Transaction Volume, Monthly Average Transaction Volume, Number of Active Addresses, Technology/Product Innovation, and other key measurables. Projects from all areas such as DeFi, Infrastructure, NFT, GameFi, SocialFi, Metaverse, and Web3 are welcomed. At the same time, the support and other funding initiatives from KCC hopes to discover some high-quality DeFi projects and further boost the development of decentralized finance on KCC.
As a potentially game-changing event of the KCC on-chain ecosystem, the Unicorn Contest has prepared a handsome amount of incentives, including a $1 million grand prize pool in cash, up to $10 million in liquidity support, and other ways to support projects, including marketing and advising. Among them, the Grant Prize Pool is a highlight of this event. The winning projects will be rewarded with a maximum of $300,000. There are also Individual Awards and Independent Awards, covering various areas in the KCC ecosystem.

The selection process of the KCC Unicorn Grant Prize is divided into two phases. In Phase #1, KCC GoDAO and a number of leading experts in the industry will form a jury to comprehensively evaluate project contestants. Evaluation will be mainly based on projects’ key data on KCC from April 18th to May 8th. Top 10 projects will be selected in Phase #1. In Phase #2, KCC community members will have the opportunity to take part in a community voting to help rank the final top 5 from our 10 finalists. Most of the other awards will be selected upon general consensus of the jury group. More information can be found on the KCC Unicorn landing page.
To have the opportunity to participate and perhaps even win award(s) at the contest, contestants need to register and deploy on KCC within the specified time frame. The early bird registration is now open, and we welcome all KCC native projects as well as qualified cross-chained projects to sign up and participate in the KCC Unicorn Contest.
